Motorcycle Repair: 2004 Mean Streak clutck, kawasaki mean streak, slave cylinder

I have a 2004 Kawasaki Mean Streak and the clutch does not engage until the cluch handle is almost all the way out. Is there any adjustment? From what I have been reading online it sounds like it could be a spring in the clutch.

Scott, Its probably not a spring as such. I used to work for Kawasaki and the slave cylinder  would absorb moisture. In fact the whole system has DOT3/4 brake fluid in it and it develops air and sludge and moisture bubbles and it needs cleaned out. Put in fresh fluid.
