Question
hi bill, i recently bought a 1964 honda 305 dream from the original owner. im going to restore the bike, or have it done. i would like to know how to get your books and c.d. on rebuilding the 305. also would you know who does 305 restorations? where do i find parts for the bike? im in okla. city.

Answer
Ron, you can reach me through my website to order copies of the Honda Dream CD, which features over 1200 pages of info, covering this model.

You might want to join the honda305 group on Yahoo and the vjmc.org forum to help connect with other Dream owners. Parts are often available on eBay. Other vendors are ohiocycle.com, retrobikes (www.olypen.com/retro), westernhillshonda.net and apexcycle.com

I know there is a vintage bike group in OK that do rides fairly often. I can forward a message to them for you. Someone in that group might be able to do restoration work. You can farm out the bodywork to auto body shops, plating shops, etc. Rebuilding the engine will be a good learning process for you, if you have a few good tools. Only really special tool needed is the rotor pulling tool, which are widely available (16mm x .5)
