Motorcycle Repair: Honda ATV, tank valve, carborator

Hi Gary,  I'm asking this question for my husband. He's working on our ATV, the motor is not getting any gas. He has checked the carborator to see where the gas is suppose to be coming from, which port and can't find it to see if it's clogged or not. Please help!  Please offer other troubleshooting advice that you think might be the reason.  Thanks.

Tracey, I am familiar with most of these carbs but not to sure of the question. Could you get me the model of the atv and maybe some more info on the problem. Is the carb not getting gas from the tank,open the drain screw on the bottom of carb is there any gas draining from the bowl? These units come from the factory without a fuel filter and rely on the screened pick up tube in the tank. Sometimes crap can get into the carb and plug up the float neelde and not let any gas into the float bowl. Sometimes its the tank valve that plugs up and wont let gas through to the carb. Pull the line off the carb and turn on the fuel valve and see if gas flows to the carb first. Narrow down the problem first. Gary...
