Question
QUESTION: I have a problem that started the other night I went for a ride on my 94FZR600R and went to my local coney ISLAND  to eat I parked my bike for a 1.5 HRs when I went to leave I started the bike up it started fine but when I put the bike in gear to leave it became sluggish Ie the engine it bogged down and was sluggish to get up to speed I just bought the bike bout 2 weeks ago dont know how long ago a oil change or a spark plug change was done but I quote It was running fine just before this happened  can you please help thank you I am leaning toward the plugs and oil change but want more input from someone else thanks again jason

ANSWER: Jason, The stock plugs should be CR9E in the NGK brand. Try 1 step hotter go down one number to a CR8E then purchase a bottle of Lucas fuel injection cleaner. Put in 1/2 of the bottle and fill it with premium fuel. Try this first and run the tank down then put in the other 1/2 of the bottle and fill it again with fresh fuel. See if this condition gets better. Also the fuel injection cleaner works better than fuel conditioner,it breaks down any sludge and lets it pass through the fuel circuits and be burnt easier.

QUESTION: THANKS for your help I will try that because I had just topped off the tank about a week ago at a marathon gas station which gas company would you refer me too when I bought the bike on the 7th of feb. I had to stop at a sunoco gas station because I was on the freeway bringing the bike back to my house and the oil sight glass is dark I cant see my oil level to check

Answer
Jason,Hold the bike upright as best as you can and check the sight glass. The correct oil level with the bike off is about half way up in the window. Usually there are two level marks next to the sight glass in the casting, the oil should be there. If its low you will see it but if its to high the window will be dark and you will not be able to see through it.
