Motorcycle Repair: 2003 H-D radio, antenna mast, antenna radio

Does my 03 ultra have built in antenna? radio seems to work without tour-pack antennas hooked up.

Gary,Im not sure but is the antenna cable plugged into the radio just not the antenna mast. If so it may be using the coax cable as an antenna. The mast may get better reception in hilly or mountanous areas. Over the years of installing radios I have found a few that will pull in a strong signal even with the antenna mast not hooked up.
