Question
I bought a lt 500 it started and ran good when I test drove it but when I got it home it won't start when I try kick starting it, the engine turns over but i get nothing. It will start if I have someone pull me and I pop the clutch and then once the engine is warm it will start on the first or second kick.  How can I fix this?  Any idea what it might be?  I don't want to have to pop the clutch to start it.

Answer
Chad,I had one of these beasts in my shop. They are notorious for having fuel/carb problems. Try a couple of things first. The spark plug thats in it should be a B8EG try going to a B7EG its one step hotter. The seller may have put in a fresh plug to start it for selling purposes. Also if this unit has an aftermarket pipe or air cleaner it may be jetted wrong but start with the plug first.
