Motorcycle Repair: 2005 Sportster Custom, custom question, emergency flasher

QUESTION: Just discovered this website.  My right turn signal has stopped working for no obvious reason.  Replacing the bulb makes no difference.  What is the most likely problem?

ANSWER: Check the switch, is there power going to it? When you press the button is there power going away from the button?

QUESTION: I do have power to the switch.  Left turn signal works fine.  Right rear bulb fails to light at all which, I suppose, would normally indicate a faulty bulb.  Activating the right turn signal results in a very slight (almost unnoticeable) dimming of the right front bulb.  Replacing the right rear bulb had no effect though I suppose it is possible that the replacement bulb might also have been defective.  Emergency flasher (depressing both turn signals at once) does not work.

Did you check with a test light to see if you have power to the rear bulb that is not working? Slso, under the seat you can unplug the wires going to the rear. Do you have power at the connection? Do you have continuty from the connection to the bulb?
