Motorcycle Repair: 82 honda cb750f supersport, honda cb750f, high tension

Question
Hello and thanks for your time. I have a bike that I bought. The previous owner told me a bunch of bull about this bike. So I have a turn over no start problem. I already have replace plugs and wires, drained tank, and rebuilt carbs. Still no fire.. there is spark from wires to plugs, battery has been on charger, I just am clueless now and I dont want to take to a shop. I am hoping that you could give me some advice!! Thanks again for you time!!

Answer
Will this wont be an easy fix.Try a couple things first. You are saying there is fire to the plugs but no fire at the plugs grounding them on the engine and turning the engine over am I right. Is the same for all four cylinders. If so the the voltage to fire the coils may be weak. This could be a weak or defective stator or trigger coils by the flywheel. Can you put a test light on the power wires to the coil and see if you have power to the coils when you crank the engine over. Does the light flash or stay solid. Dont put the test light on the high tension side or it may ruin your mood for a few moments. Check these things out and get back to me,this may be a process of elimination.
