How do I check my timing from top dead center on my 90 model suzuki dr350s?

Matthew, you haven't specified what kind of "timing" information you seek.

CAM TIMING is for installing the camshaft, so it is in synch with the crankshaft/piston.

IGNITION TIMING is when the spark plug fires.

For cam timing, the cam lobes should be DOWNWARDS in an inverted V.... /\ when the piston is at TDC.

Ignition timing is preset from the factory, so there is no adjusting it.
