Motorcycle Repair: 1970 Honda CL350, honda owner, fork seals

Question
Hello,

I just bought a 1970 Honda CL350. It runs pretty good, but I'd like to take it to a local mechanic to sync the carbs, tune it up, make some adjustments, etc. I live in Cardiff (N. County San Diego). Do you know of a good mechanic that can help me?

Please excuse me if this forum is ment for "how to" questions specifically...

Thanks,

Answer
Tyler,  I don't think too many questions I have gotten have been off-topic on this forum.

I don't have anyone in mind that is in N. County coastal area for vintage bike repairs. Not too many shops are willing/able to work on vintage Hondas due to parts problems and often lack of knowledge. I have a CD full of Honda 350 info, including extensive tuning procedures from Honda's own service bulletins if you just need precise info to help you sort it out yourself.

Beyond that, National City Motorcycles has a solid reputation and work on all kinds of vintage machinery. I have done some tuning work for vintage Honda owner's in SoCal, but prefer to work on bikes that aren't resurrected basket cases or barn finds. Depending on the condition, you can easily drop $400+ into these bikes for carb work, new ignition parts, cables, fork seals, electrical repairs, etc. At some point is isn't worth spending that much time/money on some of the bikes I have seen floating around CL and swap meets. I hope you bought a pretty good one that is stock with air filters and mufflers. Any modifications will require tedious re-jetting sessions to get them dialed in properly.
