Motorcycle Repair: 82Yamaha, cycle salvage, yamaha 400

Hello Mr. Blake Again I want to thank you for answering my question on how to find-and replace the brushes on my 82 Yamaha 400 Maxium. As Iam calling around the Indianapolis area All these bike parts shops are telling me their not availible that I need to purchase a whole new generator. Now that's big bucks any ideas or help ??

You can try a salvage yard for bikes maybe they have a set of brushes not so worn. Try Steves Cycle Salvage in Tifton Ga.1-800-622-9253. They have about 7 acres of new and used parts,they might be able to find something for you,they also are connected with about 100 other yards.
