Motorcycle Repair: key code, honda shadow 750, 2005 honda shadow 750

I have a 2005 honda shadow 750 and i lost the only key i have.  where are all the locations for retrieving key codes or is there an easier way of getting another key made.   If i need to look for the key code what is the easiest way of doing this.

Unfortunately the motorcycle manufacturers stopped putting the key numbers on the locks so they could not be used to get keys at another dealer then go and steal the bike at another dealer. The blanks dealers sell have to be cut by a locksmith.Order the blanks then take the lock assembly off the bike to the locksmith with the blanks and they will cut the blanks to fit.
