Motorcycle Repair: General Question, lucas fuel injection, honda 1800

I just bought a 2007 Honda 1800 VTX. It has 10K miles.  I noticed when I drove it home that it ran noticable rougher when I accerlerated it above 80 mph.  When I picked it up, it had been sitting for a few months and I had to add 89 grade gas (3.2 gals).  Would the gas be the reason the bike runs rough?

Its possible,the quality of gas we are getting is not as good as it used to be. We are getting more alcohol % in the mix than ever. Try not to purchase any of the gasahol fuel and put in your bike. Try a premium mix if its available in your area. Also try some Lucas fuel injection cleaner in your tank first about a 1/2 can and run this out then try some octane booster in the next tank and see if it gets better. The gasahol isnt recommended for bikes and quads as it screws up the fuel systems.It works ok in autos but thats it.
