Motorcycle Repair: 94 heritage throttle cables, throttle cables, brass piece

removed my old cables now am ready for new, would like some info on how to CORRECTLY install the new throttle cables

Answer
You have the screw in type cable, so screw the outer cable in to the throttle. Pull the inner cable upward and install the brass piece on the cable and install into the throttle handle. Now install the cable in the hole on the carb and put the outer cable in the holder above the throttle. Now adjust the cable by making it longer until the free play is gone out of the cable
