Motorcycle Repair: Honda 650 Rincon ATV, generator coils, honda 650

I swamped the ATV in mud and water. It will not rev any higher than idle. Cleaned carb,baffle in the muffler,air filter. Seems to have good exhaust pressure. Could it still be a partialy plugged exhaust or something electrical.Starts easy idles great but will not rev up even in neutral.

John, Ive swamped a few in my day also. The exhaust may still have water in it. Check the oil and filter and make sure its fresh make sure it has a fresh spark plug also use compressed air and dry out the resistor cap on the spark plug also it the generator cover on the side of the engine isnt sealed well it will allow water to get into the flywheel area and affect the stator and generator coils and the pick up trigger coil.
