Motorcycle Repair: 83 v45 honda magna, honda v45 magna, honda magna

Question
I am currently repairing a 83 Honda v45 magna 750, the carbs were clogged with old gas and found that someone used gasket maker when they cleaned the carbs last, finally got them cleaned new gaskets and everything, got it started but when i take it off choke it kills right away, ive tried letting it warm up and slowly take it off choke while revving the engine but no luck. i've fiddled with the black screw but to no avail, it seems like its only affecting it when its on choke not off. any ideas?

Answer
Chances are some of the gasket sealer got into the jet circuits and still need to be cleaned as its not getting the fuel it needs to run without the choke being on. Make sure the slides in the upper part of the carbs are moving freely also. If you use spray carb cleaner be sure to blow compressed air through the passages after the carb cleaner.
