Motorcycle Repair: FRONT FENDER ON/OFF FRONT CALIPERS ON/OFF ???, brake calipers, time god

Question
QUESTION: Hi Mike (Its me again)

Mike I'm STUCK !
Got my 1985 FLHT Harley with all of its body parts off the bike
and custom repainted. Wish I could show you Mike but can't on this site.

O.K. here my delemoner:

Front fender;wheel & dual brake calipers.
Got new tires. Took the old one off along with the dual brake calipers of course.

The fender along with the other body parts were out being painted. So I put the brand new wide white walls on the bike along with new brake pads (front only)and mounted the dual brake calipers (WRONG)

Me thinking I could just put the newly paited front fender over the newly mounted tire ( WRONG ) And the brake calipers won't be in the way (WRONG AGAIN) So off with the front tire and the dula brake calipers - Whew man what a job.

So here's the new problem(s) I took everything off the front: wheel/brake calipers.

I put the front fender in place. Mike inside the front fender on both sides are: TWO BOLTS With A METAL STRAP that acts like a washer for the bolts. O.K. now the front fender is in place. Now
I put the wheel on its axle tighten everything up (WRONG AGAIN)

I put the front wheel on AGAIN! tighten everything up AGAIN. I SPIN the wheel and its HITTING ONE OF THE SMALLER NUTS that hold a chrome strip on both side of the front fender.

Mike please bear with on this novel. I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO AND HOW TO FIX ALL THIS. I NEED YOU HELP ! ! !

I know this after of the PAIN of trying to put the front fender on correctly, the dual brake calipers on and have very little ENDPLAY on the front wheel ~ I JUST CAN'T DO IT ~ DON'T KNOW JUST HOW TO PUT WHAT I FIRST OR SECOND OR WHAT ? ? ?

MIKE can you help this old man out. I can fellow your instructions. You helped me out before,so much and I THANK YOU FOR THAT MIKE.

I'm in your hands Mike.
Just explain it like you were talking to a yound teenager please. One step at a time.

GOD BLESS YOU MIKE

P.S.Of course I won't make a move till I hear from you.

QUESTION: Mike

This is to make sure you get me answer to your question about the correct size tires I put on the bike:

METZELER FRONT : MT90B16 72H
METZELER REAR :  MT90B16 74H

These are wide white walls for that means anything.
I think that's why the 72H & 74H means: WIDE WHITE WALLS
Think that's correct Mike ?

I wait you reply before I did anything else with the fronend.
I STUCK !

GOD BLESS YOU MIKE

Answer
The 72H is a front tire only and the 74H is a rear tire only and are not interchangeable. Since the tire sizes are correct then you need to look at somthing else. Your tire is rubbing on one side, so that would mean to me that the tire is over one side to far. Look at the spacers and the speedo drive. Do you have them on the correct side?
