Motorcycle Repair: 2007 Honda CRF100F not Idle, secondary valve, throttle cable

Question
Hi Gary,
After getting the E-mail from Bill............I went ahead and cleaned the Carburetor thoroughly and put it all together, Cleaned air Filter, Changed spark Plug, changed oil...........The Bike starts on First Kick.......But I am not able to Idle the Bike..........I have adjusted ALL the Valves inside the Floater bowl 1 1/2 turn back after full tight. Any suggestions on how to fix the idle speed would be appreciated. I did find the secondary valve in the floater bowl iswith something inside.........not sure if it has some valve inside or not....
Thanks Gary. Much appreciate it.

Answer
I"ll give it a shot. Sounds like you have done most of the hard work already. Check the idle screw that pushes the linkage on the side of the carb. Tirn it into the body untill it touches the cable cam and then 1 1/2 turns in to open the butterfly plate inside the carb. Adjust the throttle cable loose enoght to get approx 2mm of slack so that when you twist the throttle there is a little play. Otherwise when you turn the handle bars while riding it could pull the cable and rev up on you making for a whole new riding experience.
