Motorcycle Repair: clutch grab, clutch cable, gearbox

hi mike,i've recently had my evo painted and rebuilt,i have a 4 speed kicker gearbox [pancake] it's very grabby,i've adjusted the clutch cable so there's only an 8th inch play on the cable,but it still try's to pull away when stationary,i'm not to mechanical,is there anything that i can do to resolve this problem ? with regards mark...

Loosen the cable and with the bike sitting upright remove the derrby cover. Adjust the clutch there. Turn the adjuster screw inward, jut until it bottoms out and then outward about 1/8 of a turn. then adjust he cable and you should be ok
