Motorcycle Repair: electrical problem? 2006 FLHXI, gas gauge, electrical problem

Gas gauge started working intermittently,then stopped working altogether. Any ideas where to start troubleshooting?  Thanks, Pete

First, check to see if you have power going to the float assembly. You will have to remove it from the tank. If you do, then you need to check to see if power is going to the gage. If not then the float is bad. If there is then the gage is bad
