Question
So i got on my bike yesterday and when i pull the clutch back nothing i cant switch gears or pull out of my driveway cause my bike just stalls as soon as i get it in gear. the cable dose not seem to be broken cause i can watch the end of the cable moving just has not resistance. I belive a spring may be broken.

Answer
Keven. Your clutch problem may be something else. There are 5 spings on the clutch plate so if a spring broke the other four may hold but be weaker. The cltch actuator is a pull pin that as the cluch shaft is turned pulls out on a grooved pin in the center of the clutch disengaging the the drive disc from the driven discs. Sometimes the fiber discs will lose its facing causing debris to interfear with the movement holding the discs out farther and pull pin has no pull left or the pull pin loses its fit onto the clutch pull shaft due to wear or breakage. Drain the fluids out and diconnect the cable and pull off side cover. If the clutch puul shact is still connected to the pull pin in the cltch you will have to tuen it slightly to disengage it as you come off with the cover. In spect the cltch then and look for anything obvious and out of the ordinary.
