Motorcycle Repair: Need replacement air filter, 1982 honda nighthawk, honda cb450

Question
Hi Wayne,
I have a 1982 Honda Nighthawk, CB450SC. I'm planning on doing the spring tuneup myself this year, and I'd like to replace the air filter. Problem is, I can only find the original Honda part number, and most places don't know it. What should I be looking for?
Thanks,
Adam

Answer
Hi Adam,

Everybody that supplies replacement filters
has their own part number for that filter.

Best thing is either go by famous brand names
for filters like K&N, Emgo etc and have them
look up the filter for your bike or buy online
where there are many suppliers.

Here are some links to various sellers online,
you can write down their part numbers if that
will help you or just order from them:

There are others like bikebandit.com that have many
parts for older bikes as well.
It might be hard to find filters locally other
than the original Honda filters if they
are available in your area.

Online shopping is your best bet for availability
and for price.

Good luck!
