Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Lawn mower gas leak, loose wires, gas leak

Question
I am not experienced with lawn mowers, mine would not start and a friend suggested that it needed a tune-up.  I changed the spark plug, changed the oil and put gas in it. It still would not start and my son kicked it.  Now when we push the prime button, it shoots gas out. What did we disconnect?  I don't see any loose wires.

Answer
It is possible that if it has a remote primer bulb, the line from the bulb to the carb might have been knocked loose.
If you could look on the engine itself, and find some model numbers, and possibly the brand of engine, or at least the brand
and model number off of the mower, that would help  me to know what
engine you do have, and I could give you a better explanation on what to do,

Thanks,
