Motorcycle Repair: honda cb350, rotor stator, point gap

Question
Hi i have a cb350 before i started to rebuilt my cb350 it started up now i cant get no spark ,i dont know what to do

Answer
justinj, is it a CB350K or CB350F?  Twin or four-cylinder? Gotta be specific when asking technical questions.

No spark conditions come from a couple of possible sources:

Dirty contact faces on the ignition points.... clean them shiny bright.

Points not opening/closing.... set point gap to .014 - .016" on the highest part of the point cam. Then, move the point backing plates until the points OPEN at the F and LF marks (or F1-4 and F 2-3)on the rotor/stator indicators.

No power to the coils.... check power from battery to ignition switch to the KILL switch, then down to the + side of the coils. You can use a cheap $5 12v test light from any auto parts store.

Dead/dying battery.... this is a battery-powered ignition system. Use a fully-charged, load- tested 12v battery as a power source.

Failed/failing condenser... look for excessive arcing across the points, as you are cranking the engine over. Can be loose wire connections or failed components.

I don't think the coils failed while you were rebuilding the engine. Check the spark plug caps for 5k ohm resistance values, though.
