QUESTION: I am not mechanically inclined but was told this Sportster sucked a valve but did no damage to the piston. Thank you for your quick response on the previous question.

Answer
In order to lap the valve you would first have to inspect the valve and valve seat for damage. If there is any damage to the valve it would have to be replaced. If the seat is damaged it would have to be ground. Once that is all done then you have to lap the valve. What you have to do is use lapping compound from course to fine and spin the valve against the valve seat.
Good luck and happy riding
