QuestionI recently put ape hangers on my bike and had to buy longer clutch, idle/throttle cables. I have everything installed, but the throttle gets stuck and won't return to idle position. NEED HELP!!
AnswerDavid.... Check the cable routing from the throttle grip to the carburetors. If you can see the carb cable ends while you turn the handlebars back and forth, you will probably see them opening if there is incorrect routing or the cables are not long enough to reach the carbs under all handlebar positions.
Normally cables will need to be routed beneath the fuel tank to make the shortest route to the carbs.
Be sure that you have the cable installed into the throttle drum properly, too.
I don't know anything else about this non-Honda model application.
