Motorcycle Repair: Year of this Honda Dream, honda dream, bill silver

Hello,
I have a Honda Dream I would like to find out the year of. The engine VIN is
CA77E- 1019434, frame is CA78- 1019323. Thanks for your help!

Teresa, Honda began the 7 digit serial numbers in 1965 production. Yours is 19,323 after the start of the run that year. Honda didn't give any clues about year production breaks after 1965, they just kept cranking them out. Your bike would be either a late 1965 or early 1966 model, in all probability. There is a white tag on the wiring harness that gives the year of production of the harness, which is usually close to the bike year. However, on a Dream it is up underneath the engine top cover and usually not seen until the motor is dropped down out of the frame.
