Nissan Repair: 99 maxima power steering, hi mike, alternator

I have a 99 maxima. Power steering belt broke last night.
How long can I drive it before any damage happens?

Hi Mike -

The vehicle would be very hard to drive/control without power assist steering. Also I believe the same belt runs other systems in your vehicle, such as the alternator.

With that said, I would take it straight to the closest mechanic, or your house where it can be replaced. If the belt also runs the alternator, then don't drive it at night, otherwise your battery will die.
