Motorcycle Repair: Cuts off wont restart, wonce, starter switch

QUESTION: 2002 ultra classic, cranks and runs good then after 20-30 minutes cant keep it running unless using high revs wonce off wont start untill cools off.When wont start all gauges look good but volts at 11 normaly at 13 when running.When does start battery turns over good.

ANSWER: Is it fuel injected?

QUESTION: Mike, also when it wont start it is like the starter is dead. No nothing from the starter switch.Connections look good. Acts like something holds the starter switch out.

ANSWER: Are you saying that when you hit hte button to start the bike it does not turn over?

QUESTION: Mike, yeah. Found a broken terminal end from starter to main breaker. Repaired and runs good. Now Ive installed a new battery and it drains down to the point of wont engage the starter in about 1 hour. It does this without blowing a fuse and does it with all fusses pulled.Can crank it when jumped off and alternator showing 14 volts when running drops down to 10 after 1 hour not running.If I take positive side of battery terminal and touch to battery with every thing off Im getting some arc which shows me it has current draw when all switches are off. Any suggestions.?

Answer
First thing I would do is check the battery while running with a volt meter at the battery if you havent done that already. You might have a bad gage on the dash.
If you are still having a draw, then you are going to have to locate what is pulling the current. The best way is to unplug all the fuses and then one at a time plug them back in and check the draw after pluging each one in. the will give you the location of where the current is going.
