Motorcycle Repair: 85 FXST starter wont disengage, solenoid, solenoids

QUESTION: when i start my bike sometimes not all the time the starter
will run until I disconnect battery, Key and switch only shut
off engine will not stop the starter. Have replaced
solenoid,and relay

ANSWER: Did you replace the spring in the solenoid?

QUESTION: Yes. When the starter sticks and i turn the bike off the starter not only doesnt disengage it keeps on running(starter not engine)Engine shuts down when i turn off ignition. Starter wont stop until i disconnect batt.

Your solenoid is sticking and that is why its still turning. Even though you replace the solenoid you are going to have to replace it again. the new one you have is bad. I use accell solenoids and I dont have that problem
