how do you get the lower allen out at the bottom of the forks?

Answer
Take out the front wheel axle, put a correct size allen wrench in the bolt, hold the lower fork leg and remove it.  Do not remove the spring first, and if it is stuck or the threads are bad and the internals are turning, then you have a problem.  I sometimes put an air ratchet on them in that case.  Good luck,  Jan
