Motorcycle Repair: starter removal, starter removal, xlh

Question
how do you remove the starter on a 1974 xlh i cant find the mount bolts i pulled the primary cover and i see how its mounted my book doesnt tell me much on the subject

Answer
            on the starter side of the bike just remove the two starter through bolts and work the starter loose from the housing you may have a chrome cover on the end of your starter covering these bolts but to remove that take out the screw in the center of it.
