how can i put a single fire coil on 82 sportster that i have converted to a points system

Answer
The points system that you installed is dual fire unless you have a points plate that holds 2 sets of points with 2 condensers mounted some wheres else on the bike. You still can run a dual fire points setup on a single fire coil as long as you install a jumper wire from one coil to the other.
