Motorcycle Repair: Choke pull, plastic nut, fastener

Question
I have a 2004 deuce that is carbureted. The plastic fastener on the choke pull is broken and you must hold the choke out when cold. The carb appears to be stock HD and I am contemplating repairing the problem. It appears that I will need to remove the carb. Is this so? Do you have any advice?

Answer
Yes, you have to remove the carb and take the choke cable out of the bracket. then you have to remove the cable from the carb. It is all one unit so the whole thing will have to be replaced. It isw held into the carb by a 9/16 plastic nut
Good luck and happy riding
