Motorcycle Repair: Honda CA160, bill silver, 6v battery

Question
I just bought a 1967 Honda CA160. There was no battery on the bike. I now have a battery 6v. but don't know if it is a negative or positive ground system.  So my question is, which is it?   Thanks, Elmo

Answer
Elmo... if you bought the correct battery it will only install one way and the cables will only attach in one configuration. Sounds like you just found a 6v battery that might not be the correct one for that application..... so the short answer is that all Hondas are negative ground.

The problem with non-stock batteries is that it may not stay in place very well and that may lead to some battery acid spilling, etc. Hopefully your battery is the correct polarization post configuration.
