Land Rover Repair: Features 1999 LR Disco II, proper test equipment, intermittent wipers

Question
I have a few 'features' that I am having issues with on my 1999 Disco Series II.  My first one is that my intermittent wipers no longer work, I have to use the wipers on full speed even in the slightest drizzle.  Second feature is my remote will no longer lock the driver door lock, but the alarm believes it is locked so if you forget that you locked the doors with the remote and open the drivers side door the alarm goes off (very annoying).  Additionally the rear door no longer locks either by remote or by locking the door with the key in the drivers door.  Finally, I have the three amigos lights on constantly.  They came on after getting the brakes changes (only the brakes not the rotors; on a budget) Nothing appears to be wrong with the braking of the vehicle.

Answer
For the wipers, you almost certainly need a new wiper motor, switch, or both.  When the motors go bad the excess current draw often melts in the insides of the switch too.  On the door locks, the most common problem is bad latches.  The larches are in the vicinity of $250 each and several hours of work per door to change.  There is no way to know why the three amigos are on without testing the vehicle.  I suggest you find a shop that has proper test equipment and the skill to use it and see what they say about all these issues.
