Motorcycle Repair: 98 fatboy lights off engine runs, free thanks, running lights

Hello Mike, I was riding my 1998 fatboy tonight down the freeway and all of the lights went off. The engine still ran perfect. I pulled to the side, shut off the engine and after a few minutes turned the switch back on and the lights came on. I was reading another answer for someone and you mentioned a main breaker, I do have running lights on the front. I have never had this happen before, the bike has 15,000 miles on it trouble free. Thanks for any help you can give me..

I would start by checking all the lighting connections to make sure they are tight.  Then you will have to wait until it happens again, if it does, and check the power from the battery to the ignition switch and to the lights to see where the problem is.
