QUESTION: plugs have always looked a little black .i would have to change them every so often because one cylinder wouldnt fire if it sat for a period of time then i would need to hold the spark plug wire away from plug jump spark until it ran good then it would be fine and i could put wire back on plug. my ignition is power arc 0924 with a single coil how can i check to see if my ignition is good thats what i think is wrong. would a screaming eagle ignition fit because i have access to a new one for 40 .00 thanks

Answer
Since yoru plugs are fouled that is what is causing yrou running problem. It sounds like your coil is weak or the plug wires which would cause the problem. You can switch ignition if you wish as long as the ignition you wish, but that wont solve the problem.
Good luck and happy riding
