Motorcycle Repair: tank swap on 87 electra glide, bikers choice, jp cycle

I have a 87 Electra Glide classic with the ugly square fuel door on the tank. I want to swap to late style round door.Like the 90's or newer. Can this be done? Will tanks interchange with no major mods? thanks for your time. Mike

The tank you are refering to would have to be modified to fit your bike. Check some of the aftermarket catalogs online and you can find a newer looking tank for your bike. try v-twin manufacturing, bikers choice, and jp cycle to name a few
