Motorcycle Repair: carberator jetting, straight pipes, drag pipes

is it necessary to re-jet carberator after putting strait pipes on a bike (will it damage the engine if i dont)

Adding straight pipes or drag pipes will not damage the motor, but it does make the bike run leaner. So, to answer your question, yes you should rejet the carb. One thing to remember, adding straight pipes causes you to lose low end and mid range power.
