QUESTION: I don't have a tach on my bike so I can't really answer that question

Answer
Without knowing the idle speed I dont think you should lower it. The bike is designed to idle at a certain RPM. Also, lowering it to low is hard on the rods. You can always take it in and have the shop check the RPM and that is somthing that can be done while you wait.
Good luck and happy riding
