Motorcycle Repair: FLHT-PI speedometer, flhtpi, speedometer

The speedometer on my 1999 FLHTPI quit working today as I was going down the road.  The tach is still working.  Besides the speedometer gauge, cable, and front axle sending unit, is there anything else I need to check out?

Not really. I would disconnect the cable from the speedo and jack the bike up. Spin the front wheel and you should see the cable turning. If its not then remove the cable from the sending unit and see if the ends are broken. If the ends of the cable are ok then the sending unit is probably bad
