Motorcycle Repair: NO SPARK, spark plug wires, honda shadow

94 HONDA SHADOW VT600C, SOMETIMES BIKE STARTS AND RUNS GOOD, OTHER TIMES , HARD TO START , OR NO START, BIKE WILL SHUT DOWN WHILE RIDING AND PICK BACK UP , CRANKS OK , FUEL PUMP CHECKS GOOD , BATTERY FULLY CHARGED, HAVE POWER TO COIL BUT NO SPARK AT PLUGS, PROBLEM COMES AND GOES, BUT IS GETTING WORST,

Hi Stuart,

From what you have told me, it sounds like the coils could be a fault here. I would take them off and test them according to your manuals instructions. Also check the spark plug wires and caps, they should be in good order too.
And as with any electrical problem, you should go through all off your connectors on the bike (front to back) and pull them apart, clean them and put back together. Not only is this good for your bike, but it allows you to inspect the wires too.
