Motorcycle Repair: fuel in oil, carburated, chocolate milk

Question
Just bought an 02 Fatboy 88 ci, carburated, with 11,000 miles on it. Not sure how long it sat. Changed oil for first time today and it looked like chocolate milk. There is DEFINITELY fuel mixed with it. Can you please enlighten me on this ?  I really appreciate your knowledge. Thanks!

Answer
At one time the petcock was probably left open for a long period and gas leaked into the carb. If the float in the carb did not shut off then the gas can run into the intake and into the motor.  I would change the oil, run the bike for about 20 minutes to get it good and warm and then change it again.
Good luck and happy riding
