Motorcycle Repair: Harley 883 Sportster Battery recharge, harley 883 sportster, 883 harley

My wife bought a Harley 2009 883 Harley. She has not driven it in a while, she went to turn it on it just clicks, i believe the battery is dead how do I remove it and recharge.

Remove the strap that holds the top cover and then remove the top cover. If you have a front cover, just slide it out. Using a wrench, remove the bolts on the battery cables and slide the battery out. If you have small clips ont he battery charger, you can charge the battery right in the bike, if you can get to the posts
