Motorcycle Repair: HONDA S65 Start up, honda models, cam timing

Question
I know you said that you only did certain Honda models but i thought that you still might be able to help me. I have a 1967 Honda S65 and now I have it hooked up and eveything is in time we still cannot get a fire. any ideas or tests we could do. like a test light or something. Anything would help we are so close to getting it to run. Thanks Doug

Answer
Well in order for the bike to run you will need compression, fuel, and last but not least, ignition at the right time.  Presuming you have set the cam timing correctly, and the carburettor is OK, you will need to ensure that the points close on the timing mark (usually F) on the flywheel.  Check your manual to ensure everything is timed correctly.  Good luck,  Jan
