Motorcycle Repair: electrical, starter solenoid, fuse block

Question
I believe this is a general electrical problem not specific to any make or model.  However, I went to start my 04 custom chopper the other day and nothing.  I had the battery tested and it is still good and fully charged.  I started testing things and I am not getting any juice from the battery when I turn the key to the on position.  The test light goes out when touching the positive side of the battery terminal.  What could be causing this problem.  Thanks

Answer
I will make the assumption that you have no lites and the bike is completely dead..Make sure that your battery cables are tight and that the other ends of each cable is tight. Positive to the starter solenoid and negative to a good ground....connect the clip on your test lite to the negative post and probe your ignition wire with the other end.  You should have one wire that comes from your fuse box up to your switch that is hot all the time and then another wire that will lite your light with the ignition switch in the on position. If you get juice into the switch, but nothing on your ignition wire , then you have a bad switch.  If yes, then probe your wire to your kill switch (if equiped).

If you have no juice at your ignition, then trace your wires from the battery , you should have a fuse box somewhere, check and make the repairs...may be a blown fuse or a broken wire. I have seen fuse blocks that have gone bad, so test your wires into the fuse block from the battery and out.

If you get that far and still have nothing , then holler and I will help you some more..
