Motorcycle Repair: V45 magna, v45 magna, muffler system

I am replacing my muffler system on my 1982 V45 Magna. I have all the necessary parts to do the job but I cannot find the Muffler band (part # 18377MB0003)or the muffler Packing (part #18392MK4000) They are telling me that the parts are not available.

Honda is usually pretty good about their replacement parts...I would try another dealer and see if you get the same response...you may have to resort some fabrication for the bracket..and you may be able to use header tape for the packing that you require..last but not least, you can try some salvage yards, you may have to google them and mail order what you need , I have had moderate luck with this option...
