Motorcycle Repair: tr6, rocker boxes, stock oil

Question
QUESTION: where does the rockerbox oil line connect on a 1967 tr6r.

ANSWER: Noel,

the rocker box feed line runs from the bottom of the oil tank to the double banjo fitting on the rocker boxes...

Off the bottom of the oil tank (stock oil tank) there are two fittings...one of them is removable, this is the feed line for the engine...the other line should have a "tee" built into it...one leg of the tee is the return line from the motor and the other smaller leg of the tee is the feed for the rocker feed...

IF you are using an after market tank , let me know and I will help you with line routing on that one, OK?

QUESTION: I do not have a stock oil tank on my 1967 TR6R because the return line does not have a "Tee".
Looking inside the oil tank I see a small block which has a small line that goes down into the oil.  A small line goes out of this same block to the outside of the oil tank next to the cap.  Would this be the line to the rocker box feed?  Would this tank be of a later year?

Answer
you are going to have to send me a picture, so that I better understand ....please send to johnsonmotors1@yahoo.com.

What you are describing is a stock oil tank, but the tee should not be missing...how far off of the bottom of the tank does the return line extend?
