Motorcycle Repair: Broken Rear Turn signal, honda shadow spirit, rear fender

I have a 2006 Honda shadow spirit 1100.  I drop it and broke the left read turn signal.  I am not sure how to take the assembly off. Replacement parts i have seen replace the lamp housing and electrical cable.  I don't know how to get the cable off. I don't want to start disassembling the bike.  Any ideas on how to proceed?

I wish I had known you needed the rear assembly.  I actually have one here at my shop.  First remove the seats and then there is wire harness that goes to the rear fender.  Find the wires that go to that particular turn signal.  Unplug them.  Then on the inside of the rear fender, remove that nut and the turn signal will come right out.  Hope this helps.  Let me know!
